High-speed boats are now available throughout the region and offer access to even the remotest islands during a short period of time. Organized excursions or private rentals can be arranged at most resorts, beaches, fishing villages and from Laem Ngob. As these boats need up to 90 litres of petrol per hour the rental prices are charged accordingly. Popular activities include snorkelling, scuba diving and fishing.

A full-day speed-boat trip can bring you from Chang Island to Maak Island or Kood Island, after arrival at the destination there will be time for snorkelling and/or exploration of the islands.

Most other islands have limited or no development at all. Many of them are uninhabited, for snorkelling excursions, the following islands are recommended: Yuak Island, Man Nok Island, Look Bard Rock, Run Taek Rock, Wai Island, Kham Island, Rayang Yai Island, Kra Island, Thong Lang Island, Thian Island, and Yak Island.
